Virginia Tilley is author of The One-State Solution: A Breakthrough for Peace in the Israeli-Palestinian Deadlock (U of Michigan Press and Manchester U Press, 2005) and numerous articles on the Middle East.

She holds a Masters Degree in Arab Studies at Georgetown University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently working as a Chief Research Specialist in the Democracy and Governance Program at the Human Sciences Research Council in Pretoria, South Africa, and is researching a second book on the one-state solution (also under contract to the U of Michigan Press).
