2006-03-22 Reality Show Look Beyond the Bloodshed? Listen Up, George. CLEVELAND (AP) — Beginning the fourth year of an unpopular war, President Bush defended his Iraq record on Monday against skeptical questioning. He said he could "understand people being disheartened" but appealed to Americans to look beyond the bloodshed and see signs of progress. You have to know what bloodshed is before you can look beyond it, George. I suspect that you don’t have a clue and that neither do most Americans, many of whom avidly endorsed your sponsoring of it. And that holds, George, both for those who have been on the receiving end of the bloodshed and those who have been on the delivering end. Many of our young soldiers, our children, have been scarred for the rest of their lives by what they have seen and done. So for your benefit and for the benefit of all of those you ask to “look beyond the bloodshed,” here is a very small sample of bloodshed for you to look beyond: Read the following carefully, George, and be sure that you click on each of the links in it so that you can get the entire picture. http://www.chris-floyd.com/march/ Thanks to Chris Floyd.
