The piece below is precisely why Fiatlux was created . . . to shed light on what is going on in the world so that people of goodwill can become more aware and can mobilize to right as many of the oh-so-many wrongs that are being perpetrated in their name.

No Bravery

A Nation Blind to Their Disgrace

A Must Watch 4 Minute Video Flash presentation
http://informationclearinghouse.info/article11799.htm

Produced by GlobalFreePress.com

Music by James Blunt

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on their face.
He has been here.
Brothers lie in shallow graves.
Fathers lost without a trace.
A nation blind to their disgrace,
Since he's been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

Houses burnt beyond repair.
The smell of death is in the air.
A woman weeping in despair says,
He has been here.
Tracer lighting up the sky.
It's another families' turn to die.
A child afraid to even cry out says,
He has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks the question why,
He has been here.
Old men kneel and accept their fate.
Wives and daughters cut and raped.
A generation drenched in hate.
Yes, he has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

Everyone should watch the short film below to get an idea of what some of our Iraq war vets feel about their service.

We're Sorry

Former US soldiers on the personal cost of war in Iraq.

We follow a group of former US soldiers who have returned from Iraq deeply affected by the experience.

These folks need to express themselves and verbalize their very personal experiences. There is a great deal of guilt felt when decent people have to do indecent things. Talking about it, telling others about it not only is cathartic, but it is necessary in order for other Americans to understand at least a little what it is like over there.

Fiatlux offers space to any such vet who wants to tell it like it was. We will not give space to those who did not serve in Iraq or Vietnam, to those who undoubtedly will accuse us of being unpatriotic or to those who engage in “nasty speak.” “Unpatriotic” is a term best reserved for those in power who illegally lead others to war, deliberately and illegally invoke special privileges for themselves that violate the constitution and illegally spy on American citizens. “Let There Be Light!”
