RAWA - The Revolutionary Association of Women of Afghanistan

I write to call your attention to a new by-line source in our By-lines Section; RAWA, The Revolutionary Association of Women of Afghanistan.

Rather than burying this important source of news in our Afghanistan archives, we have chosen to give the organization collective status as a By-Line "author."

All authors contributing to this by-line are anonymous for reasons that will become obvious as you read the background material about RAWA. The real names of the authors are not known to us.

When you read the first article by "Mariam Rawi," it should be apparent to you that you are reading information that, for the most part, is not being presented to the American people by the American media. If this troubles you, contact the news editors of the newspapers you read, the radio stations you listen to and/or the TV news shows that you watch and lodge your complaint.

Note that when you read about the background of RAWA (see link "organization" on its by-line page), you will find several other links (underlined words) scattered through the "organization" article. Clicking on these will take you deeply into the world of RAWA.
